021012: Pre-birthday dinner!

Last night, Dave and his family took me out for dinner at King’s Fish House in Otay. I guess it was too late for Shogun, but that’s okay - I’ve seen them cook food in front of me in Hawaii, lol. Originally, Dave wanted to go to Cheesecake Factory, but by the time we got there it was an hour wait and we were hungry already! So King’s Fish House it is! Something new to add a review to, too =)

It was pretty good. 

We were feeling pretty tired when we got home, and honestly… all I wanted was some sleep! For the past few nights, I’ve been up ‘til 3 or 5AM so I just wanted some good sleep. Dave let me open my gifts early, ‘cause we already knew we’d fall asleep. He had Mom watch the whole gift-opening ceremony ‘cause he said, “it just SCREAMS Lorie,” and he was definitely right. I LOVE the card and all his effort into wrapping my gift. Hahaha, he had one hell of a time at the container store!

He got me a coach necklace, but he said we could exchange it ‘cause he wasn’t sure if he got me the right one (there was this one that I’ve been wanting). 

Sleep was good, and I actually woke up real early this morning to him shuffling around the living room looking for things ‘cause he was getting ready for his Initial Strength Test (IST), so he’s gone for the morning. But anyway, it was a great morning anyway - just seeing him made my day (considering that I haven’t seen him on my birthday since high school).

These pre-birthday launches are the nicest it’s been in a while, and although it was raining this morning (as it always does on my birthday), supposedly it’s good luck.
